After beginning her career as a fashion model and an indie record store owner, Diana Meltzer co-founded the world’s largest independent label Wind-Up Records in early 1997.

During her tenure as the label’s head of A&R, Diana discovered, signed and developed an extraordinary number of Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum selling artists including CREED, EVANESCENCE, ALTER BRIDGE, SEETHER, DROWNING POOL, 12 STONES, FINGER ELEVEN, COMPANY OF THIEVES, THRIVING IVORY, and PEOPLE IN PLANES. Hailed in the industry as a “visionary” and “the woman with the golden ears”, Diana was the critical component that catapulted the upstart label into becoming the world’s largest independently owned record label.

In her artist career development venture, Diana was recognized as Hit Quarters #1 A&R person in the world in 2003 and 2004. Along with the distinction of being the first woman ever to receive this honor, she was named among Billboard’s Top 20 Women in Music in 2007.

In 2010, Diana founded her own record label, Monster Hits Music. Aside from her frequent travel within the US, she has also been travelling between England, Spain, Malaysia, and Australia, discovering and developing potential artists in preparation for her latest Monster Hits lineup.

2013 marks another career milestone for Diana as she, along with co-owners Betsy and Freak opened Freakster’s Roadhouse, a 12,000 square feet club in Pontiac, Illinois. The club serves as a platform for aspiring musicians to attain a wider exposure in the music scene. Find out more about the club by clicking here.
